Captain Jack Sparrow Swashbuckling Sword From Movie Pirate of Caribbean
Captain Jack Sparrow Pirate Cutlass Sword
According to Pirate myth the Cutlass found its origins with the Buccaneers in the Caribbean. However, whether this is a historical fact is still unknown. It is more likely that the Cutlass was an evolution of the falchion (short sword used during the middle ages). The blade of the sword is 440 Stainless Steel with a temper line along the edge of the blade. The edge of the blade is factory sharpened and the tip is very sharp. The Cutlass was also not only limited to the sea. The handle is hard wood with a black gloss finish. The pommel of the sword is solid steel with a tang button. The guard is stainless steel basket style with intricate cut outs. The guard also features a wrist guard on the back of the guard. The scabbard of the sword is patterned brown leather. Across the top of the scabbard are three snaps securing the the sword in the scabbard when sheathed. On the back of the scabbard is leather belt loop. This Cutlass is a reproduction of those used during the high reign of the Pirates. The sword is built sturdy with an intricate cut out basket and wooden handle. The Cutlass was also used by cavalry. The curved single sided blade was extremely effective in cutting motions and ideal for combat from horse back. *Specification: A) Overall Length: 28 inch B) Blade Length: 22 inch C) Handle Length: 6 inch D) Blade Thickness: 1/8 inch E) Blade Width: 1.5 inch F) Handle Material: Wood Handle with Steel Basket Guard G) Blade Material: 440 Stainless Steel H) Blade: Slightly Sharpened, but point is very sharp
