Sakura Japanese Warriors 1060 Carbon Steel Blue Katana

Japanese sought to emulate many practices from China including the social phenomenon of Hanami, flower viewing, where the imperial households, warriors, poets, singers and other aristocrats would gather and celebrate under the blossoms. We are now proud to introduce to you this commemorated Sakura Japanese Warriors 1060 Carbon Steel Blue Katana. The blade features a hand crafted 1060 high carbon steel construction. The carbon has been hand hammered throughout the blade to give the blade a consistent hardness. A Bohi has been added to the top of the blade to better balance the blade and give audible feedback when the sword is swung. An aesthetic Hamon runs the length of the blade ending at the blade's Kissaki. The blade comes very sharp and full tang and includes ancient traditional inscriptions. The Saya of the sword has been constructed of wood with a dark blue high gloss finish. A black cotton Sageo has been tied around a bright brass fitted Kurigata. The Koiguchi has been hardened via lacquering. The Saya also features a hand carved Sakura tree with flowers. The Habaki is a one piece brass construction secured by a brass Seppa. The Tsuba is solid steel alloy with a Sakura tree trunk and flower with an animal. On the opposite side of the Tsuba is a Japanese Warrior surrounded by Sakura tree and flower. A golden brass Seppa secures the Tsuba to the Tsuka. The Fuchi is blackened steel with a Bow and Arrow in relief on one side. The Tsuka is wooden over the tang of the sword. Imitation Same has been wrapped over the wood with black silk Ito over the Same. Two bamboo Mekugi secure the tang in the Tsuka. Oxidized copper Menuki decorate each side of the Tsuka. The Kashira features black steel with Japanese Kabuto helmet and spear. This sword comes complete with a black cotton sword bag with a yellow Sakura tree and flower imprint.
