Musashi was the greatest swords man ever in Japan. It has been recorded that he won no less than 60 sword duels and was never defeated. He was not only the best swordsman but also the author of the book Of Five Rings, teacher of his sword art and talented artist. Musashi was a Samurai in all aspects of the word, and the world may never see another of his caliber.
Attributes of the Weapon:
This is the economical edition of the Musashi. However, this is still a top of the line blade in this price range. The blade is hand crafted and razor sharp with a good balance. The sword is half tang and can be disassembled. The blade of the sword is hand crafted and constructed of carbon steel. The sword comes razor sharp. The hadened edge (Yakiba) as it extends past the yokote into the kissaki. The scabbard of the sword is wooden with a high gloss black lacquer finish. Wrapped around the upper half of the scabbard is a black cotton sageo. The guard of the sword begins with a bronze blade collar (Habaki). The actual guard is blackened steel in the double ring design, the exact same design as the great Musashi. Each side of the guard is secured by a bronze spacer (Seppa), this fitting is only found on hand crafted swords. The sword is half tang and secured by two wooden pins in the handle of the sword. Wrapped over the tang of the sword is real ray held in place by two steel pins (Menuki) shaped like dragons. Over the ray skin is a black cotton wrap for the best in comfort and grip. The pommel of the sword is a simple blackened steel end cap.

This is a good swooord...

I just received my katana today and I have to say I am very pleased! It's solid, very sharp indeed, and the blade is nice and straight. A simple yet beautiful blade. I can't wait to test this baby out on some melons.

Wonderful sword. Muashi is known for greatness, and this is no exeption. Thick blade, tight fittings, wonderful sword. But if you get a carbon steel blade, get a cleaning kit or you will get a few rust spots.... but amazing overall sword.

i really like the sword although it rusts a little
the sword was fantastic but the scabberd was kinda weak i tried a couple days ago to draw it and my scabberd chiped they need to make a better scabberd for it
