He is known for his power and ability to deflect and defend many high powered people. This is the Sword of Ulquiorra Schiffer. Ulquiorra Schiffer has been give a rank of number 4 amongst all of the Arrancar and Hallow under Aizens command. This sword has a lot of power once wield by Ulquiorra. This particular sword has been created with the exact image of Ulquiorra Schiffers Sword in the Beach Anime series. The pommel is traditional metal which followed by the brown nylon cord wrap handle, under it has an imitation same. Two bamboo peg is visible which tells us that its a full tang sword, meaning, the blade and handle all fix in one piece. The guard has two curved extensions from its long sides, with a line going through both sides to give it an eye-like appearance. The blade is made from carbon steel and has a satin finish. The saya (scabbard) is 100% wood with a high gloss black lacquer finish. The saya also has a metal throat with a metal ring at the middle and a matching nylon bow as the same color as the handle. Around the middle ring has a design with bat. After all his sword Murcielago can be translated as Bat.

Beneath the surface...

Knowing that the colors of this sword were not correct, my entire intention of buying it was to transfer the unique tsuba guard over to another 'real' carbon steel combat sword that I am painting and re-wrapping in green. I was disappointed to learn that while there are two pegs in the handle- the handle is completely glued to the steel (note: this sword is NOT full tang- one of the pegs is false and not even through metal... this explains why the handle was glued into place). I was further disappointed to learn that the center of the tsuba was square- not v-shaped- like a regular katana. This means taking a file and manually filing the center down so that it will actually fit on a real sword. :-( I gave this sword 3-stars because first- it is not the correct colors (why can't designers do it right from the start if they're going to do a "replica"?). Second, because usually when a sword contains 'pegs' in the handle, it indicates full tang and is meant for the handle to be removed for cleaning (obviously not the case with this sword). Third, with the tsuba being square, it makes it incompatible with other swords without some work. I also have to say the sword was NOT sharp; if you've had other swords that are sharp, you can definitely tell the difference.

It's an exceptionally-crafted weapon. It's even incredibly accurate, save one detail. The handle wrap should be green.

Light Brown?

Though I've only ever seen this in photos, it appears to be quite remarkable. I can see no flaws in the design. Only one minor hitch... Ulquiorra's Murcielago in the series has a green handle wrap.

Ulquiorra Schiffer's Sword Review

I have not yet bought this sword, but I'm planning too. I'm a big fan of Ulquiorra Schiffer, and to hold his sword while I swing it around; that would be an honor. I can see a few things wrong with this sword though, and I felt that they were needed to be pointed out. From the pictures, I judge them by the look, and the general equality of it to the anime. 1. The colors are wrong. The nylon should be green, along with the scabbard as well. Ulquiorrara favored green. 2. There was no bat motif, but I thought it was pretty cool that it was put on the sword anyway. 3. The hilt, I do believe is in reverse, and it is to look like an 's' from the users, point of view. Only a minor thing. Overall, it looks really cool, and I'm looking forward to buying it. The price looks great, so I'll try to give it a review once I do get it.
